COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio High
School Athletic Association Foundation has named Kimberly Combs as
its new executive director. Combs, who has served as a consultant
for the OHSAA for the past three years, takes over the leadership of
the Foundation for Dr. Kim Mahoney, who has relocated to Iowa.
Combs’ appointment was effective as of
January 1 and she will serve as the Foundation’s point person for
leadership conferences, Service Week initiatives, the website and
newsletter, among other areas.
“I am extremely excited about the
opportunity to work with the OHSAA Foundation,” Combs said. “I
believe in the mission of the Foundation and my hope is that the
organization continues to grow so that we may continue encouraging
student-athletes to become positive leaders in their schools and
communities.”
Created in 1997, the OHSAA Foundation
provides scholarship, leadership and service opportunities for
Ohio’s student-athletes. Its Board of Trustees includes Gene Ford,
Tom Hamilton, Tom Hof, Bill Hosket, John Muhlbach, Jim Lachey and
Jack Schrom among several current and former OHSAA staff, Board of
Directors members and coaches.
