Sectional and District Tournament Media Credential Requests: Media shall request credentials from the district tournament site manager. Visit the Girls Tennis web page to access sectional and district tournament information, then click on the district you are covering. Tournament site manager's contact information is located there.

State Tournament Media Information: The following information was prepared to assist you with your coverage of the upcoming OHSAA girls tennis state tournament. Please contact Tim Stried (tstried@ohsaa.org or 614-267-2502, ext. 124) at the OHSAA office should you have additional questions. Previews, brackets and additional information will be posted on the OHSAA web site the week of the state tournament.

Dates and Locations:Oct. 21 and 22 - OSU Outdoor Varsity Tennis Courts (formerly the Stickney Tennis Center), The Ohio State University, Columbus

Indoor Location:In the event of inclement weather, play will be moved indoors to the Elysium Tennis Center in Plain City. The address is 7637 Commerce Place, Plain City, OH 43064. The phone number is 614-873-8749. The website is www.ElysiumTennis.com. Driving directions from OSU to Elysium are located in the official program.

Address: The OSU Outdoor Varsity Tennis Courts (formerly the Stickney Tennis Center) is located at 2491 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, 43210 (adjacent to the Woody Hayes Athletic Center). Please see parking information below.

Times and Format: Play begins both days at 9 a.m. with Division I singles players followed by Division II singles players followed by doubles teams.

Credentials: There is no official credential application form to submit to the OHSAA for the state girls tennis tournament and no other advance registration is needed. Media members shall show their company identification (ID badge or letter from editor/supervisor) for admittance. Media shall then sign in and ask tournament personnel for a media packet, which contains a credential, release, welcome letter and program.

Parking: There is no designated media parking lot. Media and spectators shall park west of the courts in the lots surrounding Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium (track/soccer/lacrosse), Bill Davis Stadium (baseball) or the Buckeye Lots, which are located on the west side of Fred Taylor Drive. For travel directions, please use the street address of Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, which is 2450 Fred Taylor Drive. From State Route 315, take the Ackerman Road exit and head east. At the first light, turn right onto Fred Taylor Drive. Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium is on the left, while the Buckeye Lots are on the right.

Media Work Space, Wireless Access, Internet Connections, Telephones: There is no designated work area for media and there are no internet connections, telephones or wireless access available at the courts. Play should end in plenty of time each day to allow media to go home or to another local establishment to work.

Results: Results will be posted on the OHSAA web site as soon as possible following each day’s competition. Results will also be posted in the Associated Press Marketplace for AP members.

Photographs Available: Rather than sending a stringer, media outlets needing photographs from OHSAA state tournaments should utilize the OHSAA’s official photographer, Impact Action Sports Photography. Coaches, school staff, freelance photographers and parents of competitors are not permitted to receive media credentials. Media outlets found to be in violation could be subject to reduced access at future OHSAA state tournaments.
