  OHSAA Selects 83 Schools for Harold A. Meyer Sportsmanship Award

Eighty-three high schools and 7th/8th grade schools have been selected as recipients of the 2007-2008 OHSAA Harold A. Meyer Award for Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity. The awards are presented to schools that demonstrate they have completed an eight-part program that promotes sportsmanship, ethics, and integrity in their schools and communities.

  OHSAA Announces Hiring of Tim Stried, Director of Information Services


The OHSAA Board of Directors has unanimously approved the hiring of Tim Stried as its director of information services, Commissioner Daniel B. Ross has announced. Stried has previously served in the sport information offices of Ohio State University and Bluffton University. He replaces Bob Goldring who has been elevated to the position of associate commissioner for operations. Click here to view news release.

  New Requirement for Pupil Activities Applications from the ODE

  • Governor Ted Strickland signed House Bill 190 into law Wednesday, November 14.  This bill goes into effect immediately. All Pupil Activity applications received by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) after 11/18 requires both a current BCII and FBI fingerprint results. Updated applications reflecting this law will be available for download at this link on the ODE web site: Click to access application. The pupil activity application is the last option on this page.
