2012 Fall Booster Summit Registration |
The Ohio High School Athletic Association is again hosting a Booster Summit for superintendents, school treasurers, high school principals,
high school athletic administrators and booster club officers to help schools identify best practices to support interscholastic athletics
programs through booster clubs. Due to the overwhelming interest in the April 24, 2012 OHSAA Booster Summit, we will be hosting another conference.
The Fall Booster Summit, covering the same material, will be held at the Marriott Columbus Airport Hotel on Monday, November 5, 2012.
The OHSAA Booster Summit is designed to help school officials and booster club officers review the do's and don'ts of booster clubs as they
relate to legal issues, compliance, accounting practices and more. Presentations will be provided by OHSAA CFO Jeff Jordan; OHSAA legal counsel,
Steve Craig; and Steve Beden, president of the North American Booster Club Association located in Kennewick, Washington. Opening comments will
be provided by OHSAA Commissioner, Dr. Dan Ross.
The summit begins at 9:45 a.m. and is limited to a total attendance of 300. To accommodate as many school districts as possible, a maximum of two
people per school/organization may attend. The registration fee is $50 per person and includes lunch. Attendees can expect the summit to conclude by 3:30 p.m.
Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment by check or credit card must be received by October 10, 2012 to reserve
your place at the Summit. There will be a $5 fee for any cancelled registrations made prior to October 31, 2012. No refunds will be made after
October 31, 2012.
