Annual Writing Contest

The next writing contest will include entries from Jan. 1, 2013 through Dec. 31, 2013. The deadline to submit these entries will be January 31, 2014. Winners will be announced at the annual statewide meeting in the spring of 2014.

Division I: Daily Circulation over 35,000 (represents the 8 major metropolitan dailies in Ohio) and Websites

Division II: Daily Circulation between 15,000 and 35,000 (14 newspapers)

Division III: Daily Circulation between 7,500 and 15,000 (30 newspapers)

Division IV: Daily Circulation under 7,500 (30 newspapers)

Division V: Non-daily newspapers

2010 Contest Award Winners

April 26, 2011 - On the eve of impending structural changes to its organization, the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association announced its 2009-10 writing contest award winners. The annual writing contest was judged by Ohio University and was coordinated in part by treasurer Tom Metters of Athens and past president Randy Heath of Jackson.
