Welcome to the home of the Ohio Prep Sportswriter's Association

This website was developed to help revive the OPSWA and resume the yearly activities, awards and recognitions it has conducted in the past. In doing so, we hope to unite Ohio prep sportswriters and improve the overall coverage of high school sporting events in the Buckeye State. As we look towards the future, our first and most important goal is to increase membership size and raise awareness of the OPSWA.

December 21, 2012- OPSWA Update and Announcements

December 19, 2012- OPSWA badges were sent out to all members on December 19, 2012. If you did not receive your badge by January 1, 2013, please contact Kristin Daugherty at kdaugherty@ohsaa.org.

NOTE: Some members have already collected their badges at the OHSAA fall state tournaments.

August 2012 Officer Meeting:

Officers of the Ohio Prep Sports Writers Association (President Tim Rogers, First Vice President Randy Heath, Second Vice President Eric Frantz, Treasurer Todd Stumpf and Secretary Rob McCurdy) met with Tim Stried of the Ohio High School Athletic Association on Aug. 17 to discuss the future of the organization.
