Media Credential Requests:
Media shall request credentials from the site manager. Go to the
Boys Golf

Girls Golf
web pages to access sectional and district tournament information.
Then click on the district you are covering. Tournament site
manager's contact information is located there.
State Tournament Media
Information:
The following information was prepared to assist you with your
coverage of the upcoming OHSAA golf state tournaments. Please
contact Tim Stried (tstried@ohsaa.org or 614-267-2502, ext. 124) at
the OHSAA office should you have additional questions. Previews,
groupings and additional information will be posted on the OHSAA web
site the week of each state tournament.

12 and 13 Boys Division III at NorthStar Golf Resort, Sunbury
Oct.
12 and 13 Boys Division II at OSU Scarlet Course, Columbus
Oct.
12 and 13 Girls Division II at OSU Gray Course, Columbus
Oct.
19 and 20 Boys Division I at OSU Scarlet Course, Columbus
Oct.
19 and 20 Girls Division I at OSU Gray Course, Columbus

The OSU golf courses are located at 3605 Tremont Road, Columbus,

Times and Format:
Groups begin teeing off at 9 a.m., with the last group slated for
10:28. Threesomes will tee off on holes 1 and 10. Twelve teams and
12 individuals (72 golfers) will participate in each division, where
a team champion and individual medalist will be crowned. The 36-hole
tournament will consist of 18 holes on Friday and 18 Saturday. Team
scores will be determined by using the best four of five scores each
day.
Credentials:
There is no official credential application form to submit to the OHSAA for the state golf tournaments and no other advance
registration is needed. Media members shall show their company
identification (ID badge or letter from editor/supervisor) for
admittance. At the OSU golf courses, ID must be shown from the
vehicle when entering the parking lot. Media shall then sign in and
ask tournament personnel to obtain a media packet, which contains a
credential, release, welcome letter and program.
Parking:
There are no designated media parking lots. Parking is available on a
first-come, first-served basis in the lots around the clubhouse.
Media Work Space, Wireless
Access, Internet Connections, Telephones:
There are no specific designated work areas for media, however some
space is available in the clubhouses at both Ohio State and
NorthStar. Wireless internet access is available at both courses. At
Ohio State, check with OHSAA personnel in the McMillan Room, which
is located beside the restaurant on the second floor in the main clubhouse. At NorthStar,
check with clubhouse personnel in the pro shop.
Results:
Results will be posted on the OHSAA web site as soon as possible
following each day’s competition. Results will also be posted in the
Associated Press Marketplace for AP members.
Media Are Asked to Adhere to the
Following Guidelines:
1.
Remain one-half hole behind the participants you are following.
2. Media are not permitted to use a motorized golf cart.
3. Interviews are only permitted during crossover (from 9 to 10 or
from 18 to 1) or after a round
has been completed. Do not converse with participants during
play.
4. Photographers may take positions along the course, but please
remain in the rough and do
not shoot as a player is swinging or putting. See the OHSAA

Coaches, school staff, freelance photographers
and parents of competitors are not permitted to receive media
credentials. Media outlets found to be in violation could be subject
to reduced access at future OHSAA state tournaments.
