State Tournament Media Credential
Information:
The following information was prepared to assist you with your
coverage of the upcoming OHSAA soccer state tournaments. Please
contact Tim Stried (tstried@ohsaa.org or 614-267-2502, ext. 124)
at the OHSAA office should you have additional questions.
Previews and additional information will be posted on the OHSAA
web site (www.ohsaa.org) the week of each state tournament.
Note: Media credentials
are required for news media personnel.
For state semifinal games, fax requests in advance to the
tournament manager at each site. For state final games,
fax the above request form in advance to Tim Stried, OHSAA office. Fax: 614-267-1677
DATES: Friday and Saturday, Nov.
13 and 14, Columbus Crew Stadium.
LOCATION: Crew Stadium is located at
One Black & Gold Blvd., Columbus 43211 at the northeast corner of the Ohio State Fairgrounds. Take the Hudson Street Exit off of I-71. If coming
from the north, proceed straight onto Silver Dr., which winds around directly to the
stadium. If coming from the south, turn left onto Hudson St., cross I-71 and turn left
onto Silver Dr., which winds around directly to the stadium. The stadium is visible from
Interstate 71.

CREDENTIALS: Fax in your form for the
finals to Tim Stried at the OHSAA office (614-267-1677) as soon as you know that you will be covering the
state finals in Columbus. The deadline to request credentials
for the state finals is 12:00 noon on Thursday, Nov. 12. You must contact the tournament
manager of the state semifinals personally to request media credentials. If you do not know your plans now, fax in
your request as soon as possible after the regional tournaments. Credentials will be held
at Gate 8 on the northwest side of Crew Stadium. The press box is located in the northeast
corner of the stadium on the upper concourse.
CREDENTIAL CONFIRMATION: The OHSAA
will post a list on its web site of those media members who have
requested and been approved for credentials. The list will be posted by
noon on
Thursday, Nov. 12. Once you access the web site (www.ohsaa.org),
the list can be found under the “OHSAA News and Media” dropdown
box, then go to "Credentials".
PARKING: Media parking is available on
the west side of the stadium. The name of those media outlets that contact the OHSAA in advance will be given to all attendants, who will
direct you to the media parking area.
WORK SPACE/TELEPHONES/INTERVIEWS: Seating
in the press box is available on a first-come, first-served
basis. Media members are also welcome to work in the press box during and following each
game and file stories. Plenty of telephones are available for use for local, credit card,
collect or toll-free calls only. Wireless internet access is also available. Players and
coaches are available on the field following the awards ceremony.
OhioHSsports.com TO PROVIDE STREAMING: The
OHSAAs official web-based sponsor, Cleveland.com, will
provide exclusive live audio and video streaming of all five championship matches on its
OhioHSsports.com web site. No other streaming of audio or video will be permitted on
either a live or delayed basis.
ADDITIONAL BROADCASTING AVAILABILITIES, RATES: Radio-Live or tape-delayed is permitted. The cost is $60 per contest or $200 for all five matches. Stations
are not permitted to stream to their company web sites on a live or tape-delayed basis.
Audio or Video Streaming-None permitted due to Cleveland.com exclusivity. Television-Delayed telecasts are
permitted. The cost is $500 per contest for commercial stations
in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus and regional cable companies with over 750,000
subscribers and $250 per contest for all other stations.
RESULTS: Complete box scores will be
posted on the OHSAA web site (www.ohsaa.org) as soon as possible following each contest.
