The number of Class 1 officials needed to work the OHSAA ice hockey tournaments is 9.  There are 194 Class 1 ice hockey officials.  The number of officials selected from each athletic district is based on proportional representation.   For example, if there are 100 OHSAA Class 1 ice hockey officials and 20 are from the Central District, then approximately 20% of the tournament officials will be selected from the Central District. Additional information and qualifications can be found in the Handbook for Officials..
