OHSAA Officiating Assigners 2008-09 |
REQUIREMENTS
TO BE AN OHSAA CERTIFIED ASSIGNER
You must be hired/appointed/elected by either a
League; a Conference; or a local association. When not contracted by a
league/conference and/or not elected by an association an individual must contract with at
least six OHSAA member high schools in order to be certified as an Assigner.
You must attend an OHSAA sponsored meeting once
every other year
You must submit a yearly application, a
registration fee and copies of contractsfor who you assign.
Assigners are not eligible for Regional and
State Tournaments in the sport(s) they assign.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE AN APPROVED OFFICIATING
INSTRUCTOR
You must be a Class 1 (active or inactive) official in the sport(s) you
teach
You must attend an OHSAA conducted instructors clinic once every three years
You must complete and pass the NFHS Principles of Officiating on-line class
You need a sponsor for any adult education class that you teach
You must submit a yearly application.

OHSAA officiating clinic on our web site. Requests must be mailed or faxed to Brenda
Murray, 4080 Roselea Place, Columbus, OH 43214. Fax: 614-267-1677. Requests
must contain brief clinic information including dates, times, location, fees and contact
information. Clinics will be posted for 30 days.
