    Renewing your OHSAA Officiating Permit
All OHSAA registered officials are required to renew their officiating permits annually in the month of June.
. Renewal with $50.00 late fee added
FALL SPORTS
-       July 1 - July 31. No renewal for fall sports will be accepted after July 31.
WINTER SPORTS - July 1- Oct 31.   No renewal for winter sports will be accepted after Oct 31.
SPRING SPORTS - July 1 - Jan 31.   No renewal for spring sports will be accepted after Jan 31.
  • STEP 1: RENEWAL CARDS ARE MAILED BY OHSAA
The OHSAA mails renewal notification cards on June 1 to each registered official with an active status.  These cards are mailed to the address currently on file; therefore, it is imparative that you notify Connie Scherfp of all address changes prior to May 15.   Only one renewal card will be mailed.
If you do not receive a renewal card in the mail by June 10, click here to print a renewal form.  Use this form and follow the procedures outlined below in step 2.
NOTE: THE OHSAA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR NON-DELIVERY OF RENEWAL CARDS.  FAILURE TO RECIEVE A CARD IS NOT A LEGITIMATE EXCUSE FOR NOT RENEWING YOUR PERMIT ON TIME.
  • STEP 2: COMPLETE the RENEWAL CARD (form)
Review the information printed on the renewal form for accuracy.  Make changes to your name, address and phone numbers directly on the card.  Sports in which you hold an active status are printed on the form and their associated renewal fees are listed.  If no changes other than name, address and phone are needed to be made then proceed to Step 3.
      .
For those officials wanting to DROP a sport listed on their card: simply cross through both the sport and the permit fee associated with that sport.  Adjust the TOTAL AMOUNT DUE to reflect only the total fees for the sports remaining.  Cross out the old total and write in the new total amount due. Proceed to Step 3.
    .
For those officials wanting to change their status to RETIRED in a listed sport:  write the word "RETIRED" next to the sport, cross out the permit fee associated with that sport and write $15.00.  Adjust the TOTAL AMOUNT DUE accordingly.  Proceed to Step 3.
    .
  • Step 3: RETURN RENEWAL CARD and PAYMENT to OHSAA by JUNE 30.
Mail both the renewal form and a check or money order made payable to the OHSAA for the TOTAL AMOUNT DUE indicated on the renewal card.    Renewal cards must be postmarked by no later than June 30.  A late fee of $50.00 will be accessed for all renewals postmarked after June 30.

After June 30th a $50.00 late renewal fee is required.  Late renewal deadlines are as follows:
FALL SPORTS -       July 1 - July 31. No renewal for fall sports will be accepted after July 31.
WINTER SPORTS - July 1- Oct 31.   No renewal for winter sports will be accepted after Oct 31.
