for each OHSAA sanctioned sport. |

Baseball
The approved uniform for interscholastic
baseball umpires is the Fechheimer gray color pants with an MLU navy
shirt with the OHSAA embroidered logo on the right breast. Undershirts
or t-shirts shall be red. When needed, a navy blue jacket or coat shall
be worn. Official OHSAA logo officials apparel shall be purchased from
one of the authorized dealers listed above. All umpires on a crew must
be dressed alike. Navy caps with OHSAA printed in block letters on the
crown must be worn and shall be purchased only from authorized dealers.
Any other emblems or patches are not permitted on the officiating
uniform. EXECPTION: An American flag may be worn appropriately. Jewelry
may not be worn except wedding band, medical ID, or religious medal.
Penalty - Fine not to exceed $100. |

Basketball
The officiating uniform for basketball
officials in OHSAA games is as follows: Black and white vertically
striped short sleeve knit shirt with v-neck collar, black slacks, black
belt (if used), black socks and black shoes. Note: A warm-up jacket
shall be worn for regular season and OHSAA tournament games. It shall be
black and unadorned except that it shall have the OHSAA logo on the left
breast. The only legal jacket is that sold by one of the authorized
dealers listed above. No watch or jewelry may be worn except wedding
band, medical id or religious medal. Emblems and patches are not
permitted on the officiating uniform. EXECPTION: An American flag may be
worn appropriately.
Penalty - Fine not to exceed $100. |

Cross Country
No emblems, patches or insignia of any type
other that those referring to high school cross country or track and
field may be worn by an official while officiating cross country
tournaments. EXCEPTION: An American flag may be worn appropriately (see
track & field below).

Field Hockey
Black and white 1" vertical striped top. A
fuchsia shirt shall be worn by all officials in a game if the striped
shirt does not contrast with the uniforms of one or both teams. Black,
skirt, culottes, slacks or shorts and black shoes must be worn. No watch
or jewelry may be worn except wedding band, medical id or religious
medal. Emblems and patches are not permitted on the officiating uniform.
EXCEPTION: An American flag may be worn appropriately.

Football
Black and white vertically striped, long or
short-sleeved knit shirt. The shirts shall have one-inch stripes, black
knit cuffs and Byron Collar. All officials in a given game shall wear
the same type shirt. Standard, all white tapered knickers worn with a
short overlap below the knee (not more than four inches). One-piece
northwestern stripe stocking must be worn. Solid black football shoes
with black laces. Black baseball cap with white piping, except the
referee who shall wear a white cap. Black leather belt 1 1/4" to 2
inches wide with plain buckle. Black and white vertically striped jacket
when worn during the game. The uniforms should fit properly and be clean
and neat. Shoe should be shined before each game. No jewelry may be worn
except wedding band, medical id, religious medal or watch. Emblems and
patches are not permitted on the officiating uniform. EXCEPTION: An
American flag may be worn appropriately.

Gymnastics
The officiating uniform for girls gymnastics
officials is any combination of red, white or blue skirt, blouse or
slacks. This uniform is mandatory in all regular season and tournament
competition. Emblems and patches are not permitted on the officiating
uniform. EXCEPTION: An American flag may be worn appropriately. The
Official NAWGJ Judges Uniform may also be worn.

Ice
Hockey
On-ice officials shall wear black slacks,
black and white alternating vertically striped shirts, skates with black
shoes. No jewelry or watch may be worn except wedding band, medical ID
or religious medal. Emblems and patches are not permitted on the
officiating uniform. EXCEPTION: An American flag may be worn
appropriately.

Soccer
The OHSAA soccer officials uniform is the
gold/black pinstriped jersey, either long or short sleeved, with all
game officials wearing the same style jersey. Black shorts, socks and
shoes are required. Officials may wear either the red/black pinstriped
jersey or black/white pinstriped jersey when they determine the gold
does not contrast with a team's uniform. The OHSAA soccer officials
patch shall be worn on the left breast pocket. Jewelry may not be worn
except for a medical ID, wedding band and watch. Emblems and patches are
not permitted on the officiating uniform. EXCEPTION: An American flag
may be worn appropriately.

Softball
The approved uniform for interscholastic

Swimming and Diving
The officiating uniform for swimming and
diving officials shall be a white shirt or blouse, blue slacks or
shorts, white shoes and socks. No watch except those used in timing or
jewelry except wedding band, medical ID or religious medal may be worn.
Emblems, patches and numbers are not permitted on the officiating
uniform. EXCEPTION: An American flag may be worn appropriately.

Track and Field
Effective January 1, 2011: Black, unadorned
officiating slacks/shorts/skirt (no jogging suits or denims), plain,
white polo shirt with the OHSAA logo on the right chest (3" x 3"),
optional US Flag on the right sleeve, and on the left sleeve "OHSAA
Registered Track and Field Official" in black letters. The shirt may be
with or without a pocket on the left chest.
When a jacket is worn, it shall be black and unadorned except for the
official OHSAA logo on the left side (the local association name may be
on the right side) and the US Flag may be placed on the right sleeve, 4"
down from the shoulder. The black jacket will be required in 2012.
Note: The official OHSAA Track and Field Official's shirt and
jacket MUST be purchased from an OHSAA authorized dealer. |

Volleyball
The officiating uniform for volleyball
officials is a white short-sleeved knit shirt with an OHSAA embroidered
logo (available from one of the authorized dealers listed above), black
skirt or black shorts with a minimum 4" inseam, or black culottes or
black slacks, black belt (if used) and black or white shoes. When a
skirt, shorts or culottes are worn, white socks shall be worn. No watch
or jewelry may be worn except timing device, wedding band, medical ID or
religious medal. Emblems and patches are not permitted on the
officiating uniform. EXCEPTION: An American flag may be worn
appropriately.

Wrestling
The officiating uniform for wrestling
officials in OHSAA matches is the black and white vertically striped
short sleeve knit shirt, black full length trousers, black socks, black
gym shoes and black belt. The "warm-up" jacket shall be black with the
OWOA logo embroidered on the left chest. Emblems and patches are not
permitted on the officiating uniform. EXCEPTION: An American flag may be
worn appropriately. No jewelry may be worn except wedding band, medical
ID, religious medal or a timing device.
