Q. Where can I park once I’m at the Schottenstein Center?

There are numerous public parking spaces available near the Schottenstein Center and on the campus of The Ohio State University. Parking is first come, first serve and free for passenger cars.  Recreational vehicles are $15.00 per day.

Q. Am I permitted to leave the arena and re-enter during the same session?
A. No, there are no pass outs allowed for spectators.
Q. Once I am in the arena, how do I know who is wrestling and when matches take place?
A.

The souvenir OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament Program, which sells for $5.00, will provide a complete listing for each session along with a bracket showing each wrestler in his proper weight class and division. The program also lists coaches, past two-, three- and four-time state champions and other interesting information. Results of matches from the previous session will be on sale during sessions two, three, four and five for $1 per division. Look for the sellers — they will be wearing bright red OHSAA aprons.
Q.
How do I know at approximately what time the wrestler I am following will be competing?
A. A matchboard will be used to schedule all matches. The computerized matchboards are suspended from the Value City Arena ceiling. In addition, TV monitors, located in the concourse hallways and the Aux. Gym, can be viewed by wrestlers, coaches and spectators.

Every match has been assigned a match number, and all match numbers are found in the state tournament program. Once you have found the match you are interested in the program, match numbers will appear on the matchboard in the order in which they will be wrestled. The scoreboard will list 10 consecutive mats, but, due to size limitations, mats 1-2-3-4-5 will be displayed on one screen, followed by mats 6-7-8-9-10 on a separate screen. The following abbreviations will be used: WR-wrestling; OD-on deck (wrestlers positioned behind the respective mat); BP-bullpen (wrestlers report to the west end of the arena), and WU-warm-up (wrestlers should report to the bullpen in approximately 10 minutes). No matches, other than those marked T.B.A. (to be assigned), will be announced over the public address system.

Q. Am I permitted to videotape or take photos of a wrestler?
A. Yes, either from your assigned seat (no flash photography) or from two special videotape areas that are located in sections 101 and 108 of the disabled seating. Fans are asked not to interfere with the view of other spectators. Media personnel only are permitted on the arena floor.
Q.
Am I permitted to videotape or take photos of the awards ceremony on the floor should the wrestler I am following place in the top eight?
A.
Fans are not permitted on the arena floor to take photos of the official awards ceremony. Photos of the awards ceremony can be ordered through the official OHSAA photographer, VIP Photographic at www.vipis.com. However, spectators may videotape or take photos of the eight place winners on an awards stand in the Auxiliary Gymnasium.
Q.
How will fans not attending the tournament be able to obtain results of all the matches?
A.
As soon as possible after each session has concluded, results for each session will be posted on this site on the OHSAA web page.
Q. Can I have a copy of the final State Wrestling Tournament results mailed to me?
A.

Yes! All completed brackets with results of every match for Divisions I, II and III will be mailed immediately after the championships. The cost is $7, which includes postage, handling and duplicating. They can be purchased at section 118 of the concourse area on the Entry Level.
Q. What hotels might I call for overnight accommodations?
A.
