School Athletic Association REGIONAL TRACK
AND FIELD GAMES COMMITTEE NOTE REVISIONS FOR 2005 1) Regional Track and Field Games
Committees are composed of: Tournament Referee, Clerks, Head Field Judge, one coach of
boys, one coach of girls. 2) The Regional Track and Field Games Committee will meet on Sunday, May 22, 2005. If the committee chooses to meet in person, the location is usually at or near the regional site. The time of the meeting is 1:00 P.M., which may be altered depending on circumstances. Once the district results are received, the committee may use electronic mail and then arrange a telephone conference to discharge it responsibilities. 3) The Games Committee responsibilities
are: 3.1) Determine starting heights in pole
vault and high jump as well as the intervals at which the bar will be raised. The order of competition of participants shall be
randomly selected by the Hy-Tek program. 3.2) Review the flights and order of competition in the discus, long jump, and shot put, which shall be randomly selected by the Hy-Tek program. 3.3) Review the lane assignments for
competitors in all races run as a final, which sahll be randomly selected by the Hy-Tek
program.. 3.4) Review heat and lane assignments
for all races in which semifinals are run. 3.5) The entire process is conducted under
the direction and supervision of the Tournament Referee. 3.6) There are no duties on the days of
competition except to serve in informal advisory capacity should the Referee choose to
utilize the committee. 4) The OHSAA will pay $30.00 for your
services as well as 75� per mile, one
way travel expense. 5) The OHSAA and OAT & CCC are
interested in coaches serving on the Games Committee.
