Practice Start Date Amended
At its February
2013 Board of Directors meeting, the board approved an OHSAA proposal
regarding the start of football practice in 2013. For schools that start
classes August 16 or earlier, football practice may begin on Thursday,
August 1. All other schools may begin practice on the previously
established date of Monday, August 5.
2013 NFHS Football Rule
Three risk-minimization additions were among 10 rules changes
approved by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS)
Football Rules Committee at its January 18-20 meeting in Indianapolis.

The Ohio High School
Athletic Association has compiled its initial listing of individual
state statistical leaders in football for the 2012 regular season.
Because not all areas of the state responded to the OHSAA’s request for
statistical information, the following lists of top scorers, rushers,
passers and receivers should be noted as "unofficial leaders."

Weekly Computer Point Ratings
Beginning after Week 4 of the regular
season, the OHSAA posts the football computer point ratings every
Tuesday afternoon. The ratings are also emailed to the OHSAA's media
database and posted in the AP Marketplace.
