OHSAA member schools who have a school yearbook or school newspaper representative interested in photographing the 2007 OHSAA State Cross Country Tournaments November 3 at Scioto Downs in Columbus must follow these procedures:

1.) The person who photographs for the school, whether it be for the school newspaper, yearbook or other, MUST BE A STUDENT. No adults will be provided a temporary photo credential.

2.) A letter must be faxed to the OHSAA Office from the Athletic Administrator no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, OCtober 31, indicating the name of the student photographer that is interested in photographing the wrestler(s) from your school. Send the letter to the attention of Brenda Murray, Coordinator of Web Site and Publications. The OHSAA fax number is 614-267-1677. NOTE A.: If a letter is not received at the OHSAA Office before that deadline, the student photographer must still purchase a ticket and must attend the tournaments with a letter in hand signed by the Athletic Administrator. NOTE B.: A list of those schools approved for a photo credential will be posted on the OHSAA web site (www.ohsaa.org/media/default.asp) no later than 4:00 Thursday, November 1.

3.) The student photographer must purchase a ticket for the state tournament and enter through one of the general admission gates.   The student must present their ticket stub at the media check in area located at the southwest corner of Scioto Downs (participant entrance). If a letter from the athletic administrator is on file or brought in person, the student will be issued a PHOTO CREDENTIAL that can be used to admit the student photographer onthe course to photograph the wrestler he or she is covering. The student will be required to sign in.

6.) Because of space limitations, each school will be permitted to request a maximum of  one (1)  PHOTO CREDENTIAL for a student photographer. There shall be no exceptions.

7.) No tripods or spotlights for cameras are permitted.

8.) Violators of these policies are subject to a minimum penalty of removal from the course for the remainder of the tournament. The passing of these credentials to another person is strictly prohibited.

Athletic administrators and coaches are requested to confer on this matter so that a letter requesting a  photo credential is not submitted by both parties (and possibly requesting two different people).

Visual Image Photography, the official photographer of the OHSAA, will be taking awards stand and action photographs. Orders can be placed at www.vipis.com or by calling 1-888-577-9570.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter!
