2026 District Coaches Information

With about a month to go until Districts, we want to highlight the District draw and seeding procedures for this season.  This year’s Draw Meeting will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 6:00 PM at Magnificat High School.  There will also be a virtual option.  Please note this is a change from the date originally scheduled.

By Sunday, 2/1/26, please update and finalize your rosters in the spreadsheet sent at the beginning of the season (and found here: NEO Rosters 25/26   ).  It is crucial that your team size, number of individual competitors, and gymnasts’ names and grades are accurate, so this information can be shared with our scorekeepers.  If you know that no gymnasts from your school will be competing at Districts, please email us ASAP to let us know.

The attached document outlines the seeding and District draw process for the 2025-2026 season.  (  GYM--2026 Northeast District Gymnastics Seeding Procedures   ) Please read through and familiarize yourself with this document.  This document is comprehensive and it follows the same format as last season.

A team’s rank and seed will be determined by the average of their three highest team scores of the season.  Schools are required to submit these scores to the District Tournament Managers between 2/18/26 and 2/20/26 at 9:00 PM.

Additionally, as like last season’s seeding process, schools with Individual Gymnasts (3 or fewer competitors per event) will also be seeded and ranked for draw purposes.  A school with individuals rank and seed will be determined by the average of their three highest individual All Around scores of the season.  Please note, if a school has 2-3 individuals, the highest scores from any gymnast can be submitted.  (For example, two AA scores for Gymnast Y could be submitted and an AA score for Gymnast Z could be submitted if those are the 3 highest AA scores for the school).  Schools are required to submit individual scores to the District Tournament Managers between 2/18/26 and 2/20/26 at 9:00 PM.

Links to Google Forms for score submission will be emailed to all schools at the start of the week of 2/16/26.

Based on participation data from across the State of Ohio, this season the Northeast District will qualify a total of 5 teams and 16 Individuals to the State Tournament.  This means that 3 teams and 10 individuals will qualify from Saturday’s District Meet and 2 teams and 6 individuals will qualify from Sunday’s District Meet.  To ensure equity between the two days of competition, since 60% of State Qualifiers will come from Saturday’s District, then 60% of eligible teams and 60% of eligible individuals will compete in Saturday’s sessions and since 40% of State Qualifiers will come from Sunday’s District, then 40% of eligible teams and 40% of eligible individuals will compete in Sunday’s sessions.

A blank Rotation Schedule that identifies the specific maximum number of teams and individuals that can compete on each day will be provided the week of 2/16/26.

The District Tournament will be held at Hudson High School on 2/28 and 3/1.  We are looking for volunteers to help with event and warm-up timing and more.  Please let us know if you or your gymnasts and families would be willing to volunteer during any session.
