Gymnastics Media Credential Information

State Tournament Media Credential Information

The following information has been prepared to assist you with your coverage of the upcoming OHSAA gymnastics state tournament. Please contact Tim Stried ([email protected] or 614-267-2502, ext. 124) at the OHSAA office should you have additional questions. Previews and additional information will be posted on the OHSAA web site the week of each state tournament.


DATES: Friday, March 5 (team competition) and Saturday, March 6 (individual competition)


TIMES AND FORMAT: Team competition begins at 3:30 p.m. Friday, while the individual/all-around competition starts at noon Saturday.


LOCATION: Hilliard Bradley High School (2800 Walker Road, Hilliard, OH 43026)


YOUR HOSTS: The state tournament manager is Carol Eskay. The OHSAA interim administrator for gymnastics is Kristin Ronai, OHSAA Director of Compliance and Eligibility.


CREDENTIAL REQUESTS: Fax (or scan and email) your application form to Tim Stried at the OHSAA office (fax 614-267-1677, [email protected]). The deadline to submit credential application requests is noon on Wednesday, March 3.


CREDENTIAL CONFIRMATION: The OHSAA will send a confirmation email to approved media requests and post a list on its web site of those media members who have been approved for credentials. The list will be posted by 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 4. Denied requests will be notified by email.


PARKING: Media parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis adjacent to the high school. There are no media parking passes


CREDENTIAL PICK UP: Credentials will be held at the entrance to the field house, which is adjacent to the gymnasium.


FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY PROHIBITED: Flash photography is not permitted at any time in the sport of gymnastics.


WORK AREA: A media work area is available and a public wireless access point is available in the cafeteria adjacent to the gymnasium.


RESULTS: Results will be posted on the OHSAA web site as soon as possible after the tournament. Please consult with Kristin Ronai or Carol Eskay if you need hard-copy results.

Coaches, school staff, freelance photographers and parents of competitors are not permitted to receive media credentials. Media outlets found to be in violation are subject to reduced access at future OHSAA state tournaments.
