The following information has been prepared to assist you with your coverage of the upcoming OHSAA flag football state tournament. Please contact Tim Stried (

Dates and Location
The eight-team state tournament will be Saturday, May 16 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton. The quarterfinals, semifinals and championship game will be held in the stadium.
Credential Requests
Media requesting credentials to cover the flag football state tournament should email Tim Stried (
[email protected]) with the subject "Flag Football Credential Request." The deadline to apply for credentials is 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 14.
Confirmation Email and List
Upon processing a credential application, the OHSAA will send a confirmation email to the media outlet that contains important information regarding parking, credential pick-up entrance, etc. A list of approved media outlets will be posted on the News & Media page at OHSAA.org. Denied requests will be notified by email.
Photography Reminder
A reminder that photos from OHSAA state tournaments cannot be sold except by traditional newspapers through the newspapers’ website or office.
Coverage, Media Types and Number of Credentials
The number of credentials granted depends on space, the type of coverage being provided and other factors. See Section 5 of the OHSAA Media Regulations for details.
Postgame Interviews
Interviews will take place on the field following each game. Following the championship game, interviews will take place at the conclusion of the awards ceremony.
Coaches, school staff, freelance photographers and parents of competitors are not permitted to receive media credentials. Media outlets found to be in violation could be subject to reduced access at future OHSAA state tournaments.
