Mason, Ohio – The Lindner Family Tennis Center hosted the 50th annual OHSAA Girls Tennis State Tournament on Thursday and Friday Oct. 17-18, 2025.
Division I Singles
Delaware Olentangy Berlins junior Soleil Cordell defeated Hudson sophomore Emma Liu 6-2, 6-4 in the Division I singles championship match. Cordell did not drop a game in her first two matches of the tournament, then defeated reigning champion Masons senior Addison Cassidy 3-6, 6-2, 6-0, in the semifinals. In 2024, Cordell was the Division I singles runner-up. Cordell’s 2025 girls’ tennis Division I state title is Delaware Olentangy Berlins first girls’ tennis state title in school history.
Division I Doubles
Mason’s junior Saanvi Reddy and senior Adriana Moreno defeated the reigning champions from Masons junior Emma Wagner and senior Pratyusha Chaudhuri, 6-1, 6-4 in the title match. Reddy and Moreno never dropped a game in all their tournament matches. This is Mason’s third doubles state title in school history. In 2024, Moreno was paired with freshman Bhavana Singidi they were defeated in the second round by Chardon Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin senior Elena Fleming and freshman Ella Workinger in the second round. Reddy was not in the 2024 Girls Tennis State Tournament.
Division II Singles
Pepper Pike Orange sophomore Genevieve Hayden claimed her first state title in the Division II singles, earning 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 decision over Cincinnati Indian Hills senior Sophia Thompson. This was Hayden’s second-consecutive trip to the state tournament and Pepper Pike Orange’s first state title in school history. In 2024, Hayden was the Division II singles runner-up.
Division II Doubles
Gates Mills Gilmour Academies sophomores Grier Peckham and Caroline Koch won the school’s second-consecutive doubles trophy, defeating Gates Mills Hawkens junior Lucy Hanser and senior Lauren Gaughan, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5. This is the Gates Mills Gilmour Academies second Division II doubles state title.
