Opt-Up Period Open for Fall 2026:
In accordance with Exception 1 of Bylaw 2-1-1, schools may request an alternative divisional assignment to participate in Division I for any sport. You can now access the 2026-27 request form here.
Additionally, in accordance with Exception 2 to Bylaw 2-1-1, schools offering the individual sports of bowling, cross country, golf, swimming & diving, track & field and/or wrestling may request an assignment into the higher division if both genders of the sport are not initially assigned to the same division. For all fall sports, the deadline to submit a request is 4 PM Friday, May 8, 2026.
