Weekly OHSAA Tournament Tipoff Show Released
 
The second OHSAA Tournament Tipoff Show of the 2024 OHSAA basketball postseason is posted at the link below and the video version of the show is posted on the OHSAA’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages. The Tournament Tipoff Show is released every week during the tournament for stations to use prior to their own broadcasts or elsewhere in their programming.
 
In this edition, host Marty Bannister interviews OHSAA Executive Director Doug Ute and OHSAA Board of Directors President Gina Franks following the February 15 Board meeting in which the Board of Directors voted to expand the number of divisions in several sports, including basketball, next school year. The show also includes regional reports from Chris Solwecki (OHSAA Radio Network, Central Ohio boys), Angie Saiter (Central Ohio girls), Tenishia Benson (Central Ohio girls) and Aaron Cassady (Marietta WMOA).
 
The show includes one local break (2:00 plus :10 joiner) so stations can insert their own spots (see format below).

2024 Basketball State Tournaments on the OHSAA Radio Network
The OHSAA Radio Network will broadcast all 12 games from the girls and boys basketball state tournaments. Stations can have regional and state tournament rights fees waived by carrying OHSAA Radio Network programming. There are 24 local avails in each game and the broadcasts are delivered by Skyview Satellite.

OHSAA Radio Network Programming
  • Play-by-Play Broadcasts: The network broadcasts the football state championship games, the girls and boys basketball state tournaments, the softball state tournament and the baseball state tournament. Network broadcasts are available through Skyview Satellite or an online feed and include program logs, local avails and sub-audible tones. Stations that carry network broadcasts can see a reduction or elimination of their regional and state tournament rights fees.
  • Football and Basketball Weekly Shows: The network produces a series of weekly football and basketball preview shows that include interviews, statewide news, state tournament previews and regional reports. The shows are approximately 25 minutes long and include a 2-minute local break.
