Field Hockey Media Credential Information

Media Credentials for Regional Tournaments: Media shall contact the tournament site manager to arrange for media credentials. Go to the OHSAA’s Field Hockey web page to access the tournament regulations, which contain the contact information for the state qualifying tournaments site managers.

State Tournament Media Information: The following information was prepared to assist you with your coverage of the upcoming OHSAA field hockey state tournament. Please contact Tim Stried ([email protected] or 614-267-2502, ext. 124) at the OHSAA office should you have additional questions. 

Your Hosts: Thomas Worthington High School Athletic Director Molly Feesler and Assistant Athletic Director Garret Sendelbach, along with OHSAA Field Hockey Admininistrator Emily Mason. 

Dates and Location: October 31 and November 2 at Thomas Worthington High School, 300 West Dublin-Granville Road, Worthington, Ohio. 

Game Times: State semifinal games will be played Thursday at 4:30 and 7:00. The championship game Saturday will begin at 1:00.

Credentials: There is no official credential application form to submit to the OHSAA for the state field hockey tournament and no other advance registration is needed. Media members shall show their company identification (ID badge or letter from editor/supervisor) for admittance. Media shall sign in and ask tournament personnel for a media packet, which contains a credential, release, welcome letter and program.

Parking: There is no designated media parking lot. Media and spectators shall park around the school on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Broadcasting Availability and Rates: Live or tape-delayed radio and audio webcasting is available, as well as tape-delayed video broadcasts (streaming and TV). Rights fees apply.

Media Work Space: Work space is available in the press box for credentialed media members.

Postgame Interviews: Coaches and student-athletes are available on the field for interviews following both semifinal games and after the awards ceremony of the championship game. There are no official press conferences.

Box Scores and Recaps: Will be posted on the OHSAA web site as soon as possible following each game.

Coaches, freelance photographers and parents of competitors are not permitted to receive media credentials. Media outlets found to be in violation could be subject to reduced access at future OHSAA state tournaments.
