Brecksville-Broadview Heights Wins 22^nd Consecutive Gymnastics Team State Title

HILLIARD, Ohio – Brecksville-Broadview Heights claimed its 22^nd OHSAA girls gymnastics state title Sunday evening at Hilliard Bradley High School.

In the 2024 OHSAA Girls Gymnastics State Championship Brecksville-Broadview Heights scored 147.875, just 0.05 points ahead of Rocky River Magnificat. This year, Brecksville-Broadview Heights enlarged the gap by 5.1 points. The Bees finished with a score of 148.700, while the Blue Streaks totaled 143.600 points.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights’ 38.150 on vault, 35.625 on bars, 37.275 on beam and 37.650 on floor were the best of the state tournament in those events. Brecksville-Broadview Heights senior Gianna Ravagnani competed in three events and paced the Bees with scores of 9.675 on vault, 9.325 on bars and 9.500 on floor. Brecksville-Broadview Heights senior Abby Pignatiello also competed in three events and led the Bees with scores of 9.500 on vault and 9.100 on bars. Pignatiello scored 9.500 on beam, which was the highest beam scored for the team tournament.

Magnificat sophomore Molly Francis competed in all four events and led the Blue Streaks with scores of 9.650 on vault, 9.275 on bars, 8.875 on beam and 9.475 on floor.

Chagrin Falls Kenston Sofia Macias Claims All-Around Competition Champion

HILLIARD, Ohio – Chagrin Falls Kenston sophomore Sofia Macias earned all-around honors at the 2025 OHSAA Gymnastics State Tournament on Sunday evening at Hilliard Bradley High School.

Macias placed third on beam (9.500), seventh on vault (9.550), second on bars (9.500) and tied for fifth on floor (9.425). Macias totaled 37.975 points, just 0.025 points ahead of Brecksville-Broadview Heights senior Gianna Ravagnani.

Ravagnani finished second in the all-around with 37.950 total points. She placed first on floor (9.550), fifth on bars (9.375) and tied for fifth on vault (9.575).

Rocky River Magnificat sophomore Molly Francis finished third in the all-around with 37.900 total points. Francis placed third on the beam (9.500), seventh on vault (9.550), second on bars (9.500) and tied for fifth on floor (9.425).
