Brecksville-Broadview Heights Wins 23rd-Consecutive Gymnastics Team State Title

HILLIARD, Ohio – Brecksville-Broadview Heights claimed its 26th and 23rd-consecutive OHSAA girls’ gymnastics state title Saturday evening at Hilliard Bradley High School.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights scored 147.025, while runner-up Rocky River Magnificat totaled 145.200 points, just 1.825 of a point behind the Bees.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights’ 37.825 on floor were the best of the state tournament in those events. Brecksville-Broadview Heights senior Emily Gromek competed in all four events, leading the Bees with a 9.200 on beam and a 9.625 on vault. Junior Olivia Vasile competed in all four events and led the Bees with scores of 9.275 on bars and 9.425 on floor.

Magnificat’s 37.075 was the best of the state tournament on vault. Magnificat junior Molly Francis competed in all four events and led the Blue Streaks with scores of 9.750 on vault, 9.125 on bars, 9.550 on beam and 9.400 on floor.

 

Kenston’s Sofia Macias Claims Second-Consecutive All-Around Title

HILLIARD, Ohio – Chagrin Falls Kenston junior Sofia Macias won a repeat all-around championship at the 2026 OHSAA Gymnastics State Tournament on Sunday evening at Hilliard Bradley High School.

Macias tied for sixth on beam (9.300), placed third on vault (9.600), bars (9.475), and floor (9.625). Macias totaled 38.000 points, 0.175 points ahead of Wooster freshman McKinnley Hackett.

Hackett finished second in the all-around with 37.825 total points. She placed sixth on floor (9.525) and fourth on vault (9.575).

Solon junior Samantha Singleton finished third in the all-around with 37.800 total points. Singleton tied for 22nd on the beam (8.825), placed first on vault (9.800), second on bars (9.525) and second on floor (9.650).
