2024 OHSAA Girls Tennis State Championships

WOOSTER, Ohio - The College of Wooster hosted the 49th annual OHSAA Girls Tennis State Tournament on Thursday and Friday Oct. 17-18, 2024.
Mason won both the Division I Singles and Doubles titles at the 2024 Girls Tennis State Tournament. Mason has now won four state championships in girls tennis, with three coming in the previous two years.
Division I Singles
Mason junior Addison Cassidy defeated Delaware Olentangy Berlin sophomore Soleil Cordell 6-0, 6-1 in the championship match, winning in straight sets in each of her four matches. This was Cassidy's second consecutive trip to the state tournament, and her first state title.
Division I Doubles
Mason junior Pratyusha Chaudhuri and sophomore Emma Wagner defeated Chardon Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin senior Elena Fleming and freshman Ella Workinger 6-1, 6-3 in the title match. Chaudhuri and Wagner are repeat champions after winning the school's first doubles title last season. Chaudhuri and Wagner never surrendered more than three games in a set and won in straight sets in all of their matches.
Division II Singles
Bexley junior Amiya Bowles claimed her third straight state title in the Division II singles, earning a 6-4, 6-1 decision over Pepper Pike Orange freshman Genevieve Hayden. Bowles did not drop a game in her first two matches of the tournament, then defeated Cincinnati Indian Hill’s junior Sophia Thompson, 6-1, 6-0, in the semifinals.
Bowels is the seventh three-time singles champion in state history, and her title is the eighth singles state title in Bexley history.
Division II Doubles
Gates Mills Gilmour Academy’s freshmen Grier Peckham and Caroline Koch won the school’s first doubles trophy, defeating Dayton Miami Valley’s junior Kennedi Washington and senior Whitney Miller, 6-4, 6-1.
