The following information is provided to assist the media covering the OHSAA track and field state championships. Please contact Tim Stried ([email protected] or 614-267-2502, ext. 124) at the OHSAA office if you have additional questions. State qualifiers and additional information will be posted on the OHSAA web site the week of each state tournament.
DATES: Friday and Saturday, June 4 and 5.
LOCATIONS: Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at The Ohio State University is not available this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, therefore the track and field state championships will be held at three high school sites. Division I will be held at Hilliard Darby, Division II will be held at Pickerington North and Division III will be held at Westerville North. The OHSAA thanks these three member schools for hosting the state meet.
Note: See complete schedule posted on track & field page at OHSAA.org
MEDIA CREDENTIALS: Complete the official credential application form and fax your request (or scan and email it) to Tim Stried at the OHSAA office. The deadline to submit credential applications is 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2. Credentials will be held for pickup at the media entrance. Please be prepared to show company identification.
Media members shall keep their credential for both days of the state meet. The same credential is valid for all three sites.
CREDENTIAL CONFIRMATION: When processing a credential application, the OHSAA will email a confirmation memo to all applicants, which contains important information about the state tournament. The OHSAA will also post a list on its web site of those media members who have been approved for credentials.
NOTE ON MEDIA CREDENTIALS: Please note that school or team photographers, parents of state qualifiers and coaches may not receive media credentials to OHSAA state tournaments. Media outlets found to be in violation of this regulation could have reduced access at future state tournaments.
PARKING: There are no media parking passes distributed this year.
INTERVIEWS: Interviews are permitted on the infield of the track and media may wait in the media tents located beside the awards podium. Interviews are permitted inside the tents.

Divisions I and III will be posted Saturday and Division II Sunday (the times for posting are to be determined since the process is dependent upon data being transferred from the regional sites).
