OHSAA Announces Spring Sports Divisional Breakdowns
New softball and baseball divisions utilize competitive balance; track expanding to five divisions

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio High School Athletic Association has announced the divisional breakdowns for the upcoming 2026 spring sports seasons. Softball and baseball divisional assignments have been recalculated in accordance with the OHSAA’s competitive balance process. Additionally, track and field is expanding from three divisions to five divisions for the 2026 season, which resulted in new assignments for the majority of schools.

Divisional breakdowns for boys tennis, boys volleyball and girls and boys lacrosse, which are not included in the OHSAA competitive balance process, remain the same from the 2024-25 school year. This is the second year of a two-year base enrollment cycle.
