2024 Sectional Tournament Information
DIVISION I
New for 2024: There will be two sectional tournaments for both Division I Boys and Division I Girls at HP Lanes. 
Boys Section 1 - February 21, 2024          Girls Section 1 - February 23, 2024
Boys Section 2 - February 22. 2024          Girls Section 2 -February 24, 2024
Division I schools participating with a team will be seeded and those coaches will select their sectional tournament date at a mandatory Coaches/Draw meeting.  More information about the seeding and draw processes and meetings to come. Division I schools participating with individuals will NOT be seeded and will be assigned to a sectional tournament by the Tournament Manager Jo Dimond.

PARTICIPANT/COACH ENTRY:
PASS LIST - The submitted tournament roster will serve as the school’s pass list and will be available at check-in.  The OHSAA pass policy provides entry for one coach for schools with 5 or less bowlers on the roster and two coaches for schools with six to eight rostered bowlers.  The head coach and assistant coach (if applicable) must be listed on the submitted school roster.  Additional bowlers above the eight rostered or other “team personnel” will be required to purchase spectator admission and enter through the main spectator entrance.
PARTICIPATING SCHOOL ENTRANCE
Schools will enter through their assigned entrance of HP Lanes. 
COACHES PLAN YOUR SCHOOL'S ARRIVAL TO ENSURE ALL YOUR BOWLERS ENTER THE FACILITY AT THE SAME TIME
  • Participants not on the tournament roster MUST enter with their coach, at which time the coach will update the school’s tournament roster upon check-in. 
  • The tournament roster must not exceed eight bowlers and the allotted number of coaches.  See Pass List section above. No other persons will be admitted through the Participant entrances.
  • The OHSAA bowling uniform policy will be strictly enforced for participants and coaches.
  • No outside food or beverage is permitted. No food or beverages allowed in the pit or bowling area at any time.
LANE ASSIGNMENTS:
Lane Assignments will be available at check-in through your school's assigned entrance.
 
DISTRICT TOURNAMENT QUALIFIERS:
Division I : Eight teams and the top eight high scoring individuals not on a qualifying team from Section 1 and Section 2 tournaments advance to the District Tournament at HP Lanes.
Division II : Twelve teams and the top twelve high scoring individuals not on a qualifying team advance to the District Tournament at HP Lanes.

Additional Sectional & District Tournament Information
Coaches, Bowlers and Spectators - Please Read!
Spectators:  Tickets will be sold online prior to the tournament.  NO tickets will be sold at the tournament.  Spectators will enter through the Main entrance to HP Lanes.  Ladders are permitted along the back wall of the bowling center ONLY and must be in good condition with a small footprint.  Ladders may not block any access or structure of the bowling center.  In addition, standing on chairs or sitting on tables is prohibited.  Bleachers will be provided.  
Schools: All coaches must submit their tournament roster no later than Tuesday, January 30, 2023.  Complete instructions were emailed to each Athletic Director.  
Tournament Format: Teams will bowl three regulation games and six baker games.  Participating individuals will bowl three regulation games.

Uniform Regulations will be strictly enforced:
All participants must wear the same sleeved, bowling shirt which conforms to school/OHSAA regulations. At a minimum the shirt must have the name of the school, school nickname as identified in the OHSAA School Directory, school mascot logo, or school initials on the back. If only the school initial(s) is on the uniform, it must be prominently displayed. The name of the school or school nickname must be at least 1 inch in height. All participants must wear black pants/bottoms. No jeans or cotton sweat pants are permitted. If warmups are worn, they must be worn by the entire team and be identical in style. Girls are permitted to wear skirts and/or shorts provided the skirts/shorts are black and are no shorter than the end of the bowler’s index finger when standing. Girls uniforms may be mixed (e.g. pants, skirts and/or shorts).
Pants shall be worn at waist level and not sag or touch the floor. Cargo, yoga pants, jeggings, leggings, zebra/zubaz, and painter pants (i.e. pants with multiple side pockets down the leg) are not permitted. Headbands, if worn, must be a solid color and bear no markings, other than the school name, or official nickname, or mascot logo. Headbands do not need to be the same color for each team member. It is not necessary for each team member to wear a headband. Hair ribbons on girls are permitted. Hats are not permitted nor are bandanas of any type. Bowling Center logos are not permitted on any part of the uniform. Manufacturer’s logos (Nike, Adidas, etc.) are permitted on uniforms, not headbands. See General Sports Regulations regarding permissibility and size of manufacturer’s and other (patriotic/memorial) logos. The OHSAA does not require a uniform to have a number. Conferences may have their own requirements but may not conflict with OHSAA uniform requirements.
