DISTRICT TOURNAMENT QUALIFIERS:
Division I : The OVERALL top sixteen teams and the top sixteen high scoring individuals not on a qualifying team advance to the District Tournament at HP Lanes.  
Division II : Twelve teams and the top twelve high scoring individuals not on a qualifying team advance to the District Tournament at HP Lanes.

STATE TOURNAMENT QUALIFIERS:
Division I : Three teams and the top three high scoring individuals not on a qualifying team advance to the State Tournament.  
Division II : Two teams and the top two high scoring individuals not on a qualifying team advance to the State Tournament.
 
PARTICIPANT/COACH ENTRY
PASS LIST - The submitted tournament roster will serve as the school’s pass list and will be available at check-in.  The OHSAA pass policy provides entry for one coach for schools with 5 or less bowlers on the roster and two coaches for schools with six to eight rostered bowlers.  The head coach and assistant coach (if applicable) must be listed on the submitted school roster.  Additional bowlers above the eight rostered or other “team personnel” will be required to purchase spectator admission and enter through the main spectator entrance.
PARTICIPATING SCHOOL ENTRANCE
Schools will enter through their assigned entrance of HP Lanes which will be posted on this web page prior to the tournament.
COACHES PLAN YOUR SCHOOL'S ARRIVAL TO ENSURE ALL YOUR BOWLERS ENTER THE FACILITY AT THE SAME TIME. 
  • Participants not on the tournament roster MUST enter with their coach, at which time the coach will update the school’s tournament roster upon check-in. 
  • The tournament roster must not exceed eight bowlers and the allotted number of coaches.  See Pass List section above. No other persons will be admitted through the Participant entrances.
  • OHSAA bowling uniform regulations will be strictly enforced for participants and coaches.
  • No outside food or beverage is permitted. No food or beverages allowed in the pit or bowling area at any time.
LANE ASSIGNMENTS AND LANE PATTERN
Lane Assignments will be available at check-in through your school's assigned entrance.

2026 SEEDING INFORMATION
2026 Central District Bowling Tournament Information will be emailed to the Athletic Director at each participating school by January 15, 2026. The instructions will come from [email protected]. Athletic Directors: please check your inbox, junk or spam folder for this important email. Contact your school's IT department to ensure delivery of emails from this email address.
Division I:  The Division I sectional tournament will consist of two sections.  Coaches of Division I schools entering a team will select a sectional tournament section at a mandatory meeting of coaches.  Click to view the CDAB Tournament Seeding Procedures.  
Division I Seeding: All Division I tournament participating schools will be seeded using season-to-date scoring average.  Coaches of participating teams will enter their team's season-to-date scoring average on-line using the Central District web site (OHSAA.org/CDAB).  Complete instructions will be emailed to the Athletic Director for distribution to the head coach by January 15.  
Division I Coaches Draw Meeting: A mandatory meeting of Division I coaches entering a team will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026.  Coaches may choose to attend the mandatory meeting either in-person at Columbus Square Bowling Palace OR virtually using Microsoft Teams. Complete instructions will be included in the seeding information emailed to athletic directors by January 15.  Division I schools participating with individual bowlers (4 or fewer bowlers) will be assigned to a sectional site by the tournament manager and do not need to attend the meeting.
Please adhere to the deadlines below as there are penalties for each missed deadline.
  • Friday, January 30, 2026 
    • 12:00 noon - Bowling Tournament Confirmation Due - All participating schools
    • 12:00 noon - Team Scoring Average Due - Schools entering 5 to 8 bowlers
  • Sunday, February 1, 2026 - MANDATORY MEETING OF DIVISION I COACHES WITH TEAMS to select a sectional tournament session.  Coaches may attend the meeting in person at Columbus Square Bowling Palace or virtually using MIcrosooft Teams.  Coaches attending virtually should download the free Microsoft Teams app to the device they will be using for the meeting.  Here is the link that will allow you to create a free Microsoft Teams account.  Please create your free account prior to Friday, January 30, 2026.

Virtual Division I Coaches Meeting Information: Bob Britton ([email protected]) will email each coach the links to their specific required coaches meetings prior to those meetings.  Coaches are encouraged to print any materials provided in that email to expedite the sectional selection process.

Division II: Division II schools will compete at one sectional tournament.  Division II schools will NOT be seeded and there will be NO coaches draw meeting.
The school's season-to-date scoring average will be used for assigning teams to lanes.  Coaches of Division II participating teams will enter their team's season-to-date scoring average on-line using the Central District web site (OHSAA.org/CDAB).  Complete instructions will be sent to the Athletic Director for distribution to the head coach by January 15.

OHSAA BOWLING UNIFORM REGULATIONS
OHSAA BOWLING UNIFORM REGULATIONS WILL BE STRICTY ENFORCED
OHSAA Bowling Sport Regulation
1.9 - Uniforms
1.91)   Uniform Tops:
a. All participants must wear the same sleeved, bowling shirt which conforms to school/OHSAA regulations.
b. Uniform tops shall require the school name on the back of the uniform top. The name of the school must be at least 1 inch in height.
c. Uniform tops do not require a number.
1.92)    Uniform Bottoms:
a. All participants must wear solid black pants/bottoms.
b. If a participant is wearing a skirt or shorts, they must be black and be no shorter than the end of the bowler’s index finger when standing. Uniforms may be mixed (e.g., pants, skirts and/or shorts).
c. Pants shall be worn at waist level and not sag or touch the floor.
d. Cargo, yoga pants, jeggings, leggings, zebra/zubaz, and painter pants (i.e. pants with multiple side pockets down the leg) and warmups are not permitted.
1.93)    Headbands
If worn, must be a solid color and bear no markings, other than the school name, or official nickname, or mascot logo. Headbands do not need to be the same color for each team member. It is not necessary for each team member to wear a headband. Hair ribbons are permitted. Hats are not permitted nor are bandanas of any type.
1.94)    Bowling center logos are not permitted on any part of the uniform.
Manufacturer’s logos (Nike, Adidas, etc.) are permitted on uniforms, not headbands. See General Sports Regulations 20 for additional information on uniforms.
1.95)    Conferences and/or leagues may have their own requirements but may not conflict
with OHSAA uniform requirements.

2025 Central District Tournament Results

OHSAA Central District Sectional and District Tournament tickets must be purchased online through the OHSAA Box Office.   Tickets can be purchased in advance of the tournament or on tournament day through the OHSAA Box Office.  There will be no cash sales of tickets at the door.   All spectators must have a digital ticket.  Schools will be provided with three tickets for school administrators. 
Students $5.00, Adults $8.00
Spectators will enter through the Main entrance to HP Lanes.  Ladders are permitted along the back wall of the bowling center ONLY and must be in good condition with a small footprint.  Ladders may not block any access or structure of the bowling center.  In addition, standing on chairs or sitting on tables is prohibited.  Bleachers will be provided.
